Yes, in many cases. Light rust, sap, and normal buildup usually aren’t a problem. Blades with heavy rust, excessive buildup, or blades that require additional cleaning may have an extra cleaning charge. If a blade is too damaged to sharpen properly, we’ll let you know.
We inspect your blades before sharpening. If we find cracks, broken blades, missing or damaged teeth, or other damage that may keep the blade from performing properly, we’ll let you know. We do not repair broken blades or replace or repair damaged teeth. We won’t perform additional repair work or charge you for repairs without your knowledge.
Common signs include slower cutting, having to push the mill harder, rough or wavy lumber, the blade wandering in the cut, or noticeably dull teeth. It’s usually better to have a blade sharpened before it becomes extremely dull or damaged.

Our standard pricing is based on the overall blade length, not the tooth count. Blades 199″ or less are $10 each, while blades 200″ or more are $12 each.
If you’re not sure of your blade length, check the blade packaging or manufacturer information. You can also contact us before sending your blades.
