EQUIPMENT

I saw lumber and timbers with a Woodmizer LT40 Professional hydraulic portable sawmill with complete hydraulic log handling, powered head controls, 36” log diameter, 34″ width of cut, 21’ log length. Woodmizer band mills have a very thin kerf (cut) to help maximize the amount of lumber generated from your logs.

When milling at my site I can transport most logs with my tractor or 4WD pickup truck.  Small, while-you-wait orders can be stacked directly on the client’s truck or trailer as they come off the mill. Customers leaving logs for milling are encouraged to leave a trailer for stacking to prevent double handling of their lumber.

When cutting at a customer’s site, the logs need to be staged such that I can roll them directly on to the sawmill arms with a cant hook. Customers who have tractors, skid steers or other material handling equipment available are encouraged to have them handy to help move logs, scrap slabs and sawdust, as necessary, and to move stacks of cut lumber.
