📦 How to Ship Your Blades the Most Cost-Effective Way
We want to help you keep shipping costs as low as possible. Follow these tips to avoid unnecessary UPS surcharges and oversized box fees.
1. Use a Tight, Narrow Box
Shipping cost is based on box size AND weight. Oversized boxes can dramatically increase cost—even if the box isn’t heavy.
Best box style:
- Long and narrow
- As short and compact as possible
- Avoid tall or wide boxes
Long + skinny boxes ship cheaper than short, wide, or tall boxes.
2. Stack and Secure Blades Tightly
- Stack blades flat
- Place cardboard between blade teeth
- Strap or tape blades together so they don’t move
Movement inside the box often forces a larger box, which increases shipping cost.
3. Ship Multiple Blades Together
Shipping several blades in one box is almost always cheaper than shipping them separately.
If possible:
- Combine blades into one shipment
- This reduces per-blade shipping cost
4. Use a Business Address When Available
If you have access to a shop, mill, or business address, use it.
Shipping to a business address can be significantly cheaper than residential delivery.
5. Choose Ground Shipping
UPS Ground is typically the most economical option for blades.
Avoid expedited or air services unless absolutely necessary.
6. Clearly Label Your Package
Include:
- Your name
- Order number (if applicable)
- Contact information inside the box
This helps us process your blades quickly once they arrive.
